Steve Morse, a Long Beach local, born and raised, started his career in appliances in 1980 with a friend from high school. He sold his prized 1977 Firebird to buy a van and worked for his friend for less than 5 years. On April 6th 1985, Steve’s Appliance Repair was established. Steve took everything he had to build a business and worked for anything people could afford to pay him, including tips of homemade eggplant parmigiana & chocolate chip cookies.
His friendly demeanor, honesty and extremely low pricing helped create a trustworthy household name for himself. After more than 45 years servicing appliances, Steve has managed to build an empire with the help of generations of loyal clients turned friends. You’ll be hard-pressed for time to find a frig in Long Beach or any surrounding area without a Steve’s Appliance Repair magnet on it.
Steve has employed multiple family members including his sister, brother and nephew over the years. He currently co-owns the business with his daughter, Danielle, who joined the business just a few years out of college. She has been dedicated to keeping his reputation pristine and the value of his relationships with existing and future clients of the utmost importance. They take pride in their ability to manage a successful family business side by side, day in and day out. It’s quite a rewarding honor.
